Pontiac Organization of Seniors and Retirees (TARP)

Mission

The Pontiac Organization of Seniors and Retirees (TARP) has the mission to support initiatives that meet the needs and interests of seniors and retirees throughout the MRC Pontiac on a daily basis, thus offering them a dignified quality of life while continuing to live in their place of residence. The Organization is also concerned with giving support to more vulnerable seniors living in conditions of isolation or poverty.

2014

  • Depictions of Seniors: Intergenerational project funded by the Cultural Agreement of the MRC Pontiac
  • Caregivers Day, in collaboration with APPUI Outaouais

2015

  • Management for the Pontiac of the specific CREO’s Seniors Agreement
  • Senior’s Fair

2016

  • Caregivers Day, in collaboration with APPUI Outaouais
  • SeniorNetwork: workshops on e-tablet awareness, in collaboration with West Pontiac Connects

2017 - 2018 (Upcoming events will be announced in local media)

  • SeniorNetwork, Phase 2 : Awareness workshops on e-tablet utilisation in collaboration with West Pontiac Connects. Project funded by the Quebec Friendly to Senior’s Program (QADA) within the Quebec Ministry of the Family.
  • SeniorNetwork-Expert : Workshop addressed to seniors having an advanced knowledge of e-tablet use, in collaboration with West Pontiac Connects. Project funded by the Quebec Friendly to Senior’s Program (QADA) within the Quebec Ministry of the Family.
  • Caravan 360⁰ : created by Juripop. Awareness and information activity pertaining to senior abuse. Project funded by the Quebec Friendly to Senior’s Program (QADA) within the Quebec Ministry of the Family.
