Overview
The Carrefour jeunesse-emploi du Pontiac (CJEP) specializes in employabilit and has been offering services in the Pontiac for more than 30 years.
Mission
The CJEP offers services to improve quality of life through accompaniement on the path to employment, return to school, youth entrepreneurship or the acquisition of financial skills. Our programs are consistently tailored to the diverse needs of our clients, in order to facilitate their social intergration.
The Carrefour jeunesse-emploi du Pontiac provides employment assistance services for anybody living in the Pontiac, regardless of age.
We offer counselling for job seekers and individual and group support. Our services are designed to support people who need to update their knowledge in terms of job searching, to refine their strategies, and to develop tools for a successful job search.

Service Spécialisé Jeunes (SSJ)
A part of the EAS, SSJ is intended for young people between 18 and 29 years of age and aims to identify a career objective that will allow them to consolidate their project of integration into the labour market or returning to school. Activities offered in this program are tailored to young people’s characteristics and living conditions, and aims for their social integration.
Personal Finance, I’m in Charge (PFIC)
This is a financial education program designed by Desjardins, in partnership with local organizations, which disseminate the program in an objective and neutral manner. For 16-25-year-olds who have questions about their finances, education, the job market, responsible consumption, ways to save, credit and debt. The financial education advisors at Carrefour jeunesse-emploi du Pontiac are able to teach the 16 modules of the program in a dynamic and participative manner, in French or in English, individually or in groups.
La Défriche
Through its various parts and components, La Défriche aims to equip young people with tools pertaining to perseverance in school, personal and social autonomy, entrepreneurship, volunteerism as well as involvement in decision tables within their community.
In short, this program is tailored for young people from the Pontiac, between 14 and 35 years of age and touches on many aspects of citizenship, education and health. It aims to help young people take charge of their future, as well as that of their society.
Multiservice Room
The community can also access, free of charge, a computer lab equipped with four computers connected to the internet. We also have a complete documentation centre, and offer printing and fax services.

Sortir du Bois is an employment company accredited by Emploi-Québec and recognized as a socio-economic business by the MRC Pontiac. We are a “gateway” company offering trainees an opportunity to participate in a 20-week experience in a real work setting. This experience allows them to acquire specific, transferable skills and knowledge for the labour market, while providing them with support during their social and professional integration process.
